Description |
This is a new East Asian rainfall catalogue compiled from an ancient Korean book Seungjeongweon Ilgi. The database is divided into three parts. ①138-year continuous instrumental rainfall recorded in Seoul during 1770-1907 CE with day-level resolution. ②12,780 rainy days records during 1625-1910 CE with day-level resolution.③The 400-year quantitative rainfall information in Seoul between June and September with year-level resolution based on reconstructed annual rainfall data (June to September) in 1625-1777 CE, instrumental rainfall records in 1778-1907 CE and modern rainfall observation in 1908-2020 CE. |

The table ① and table ② both contain 8 columns. The 1st column stored the serial number (S/N) of the record, the 2nd-4th columns showed the calendar year, month and day, which had been converted to the Gregorian date, the 5th-7th columns stored the original lunar year (L-year), month (L-month) and day (L-day). In column 6, leap months were represented by the symbol asterisk. The 8th column stored the ID numbers (IDN).
The table ③ contains 2 columns. The 1st column is calendar year. The 2st column is rainfall (mm). |
